Pet Portraits

In conjunction with The Groom Room in La Plata, I will be offering 30 minute, custom pet portraits. This event will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m on Saturday, November 28th 2009. Appointments can be made by calling The Groom Room at 301-392-5933. There are only TEN appointments available that day. No walk-in’s for this, you must have made an appointment.

Rates are $125 if you haven’t had your pet groomed within the last 7 days at The Groom Room, $99 if you have. This is for a 30 minute, custom pet portrait session.

Choose from a number of backgrounds. Some props are available, bring some with you too!

Rates include session fee. Choose one print collection!
Pet portrait print collection #1:
1- 8 x 10 and 1- 5 x 7

Pet portrait print collection #2:
2- 5 x 7′s and 2 – 4 x 6′s.

I will offer this again in 2010, so if you don’t get in this time, look for it again soon!

Other pets may be photographed with prior approval. Higher rates may be applied depending on the pet and the risks involved in the situation. Please contact Sara Nelson Photography for more information.

New things going on.

I’ve been busy with trying to get some new clients. More clients mean that I will need help. I have hired two assistants. One is Patty, she’s my helper on Fridays and Saturdays. And there’s Rae who will be helping me on Saturdays.

I had to cancel the business portraits “head shot” day on the 13th. I didn’t have enough people on that day to make it worth the price of getting a place to rent.

I’m trying to find some women that are interested in boudoir photos. I’m looking to shoot these in late January. Just in time for Valentine’s Day gift giving. So, if you as a woman are interested in getting some glamorous, old Hollywood photos, let me know. If you are concerned with your weight or how you look, please just know that draping and posing can hide a lot of things you don’t like and show the things you do like! Your home is the best location for these kind of photos as you will feel more comfortable. If you want to talk to me about a session like this, please contact me.
